Getting Started with the Candy Bingo Game
Do you have a sweet-toothed desire for a lucrative game of bingo? Well, you need to satisfy that appetite with Salsa Technology’s Candy Bingo game. You will have a hard time finding something sweeter than this variant of 90-ball bingo.
You can head down to the candy kingdom by yourself, but if you want to come away with the sweetest prizes – you will need our help. This is why we have cooked up dessert with our Candy Bingo game review – giving you the recipe to success with this entertaining game.
How the Game is Designed
Hands down, one of the best looking bingo games we’ve ever played.
The theme is designed excellently, with everything from the user interface and the background, down to the individual balls (they are hard candies) blending in with the design.
From a playability perspective, the game works really well. The features are large enough to be clear, and overall a decent selection of fonts and colors. If we are really nitpicking, though, there is a lot of pink on the four cards. It would have been better to have the crossed-out numbers be in color other than pink to make it easier to see from a glance.
As we mentioned, we liked the user interface. It is simple, with plus and minus buttons to increase your bet amount and to remove cards all you need to do is click each one to add or remove from the game.
Overall, the developers have kept the game very simple by focusing on having only the four-card payouts.
Bingo Game Sounds and Music
The sound effects were pretty lame in our opinion, while we were expecting something grand to go with the excellent design features – we were shocked to see this wasn’t the case.
Salsa certainly screwed up the recipe on this part!
The main aspect was that there is no background sounds or music. Just the thudding of the candy balls being drawn and the chimes of winning lines being ticked off.
When you hit the max bet button, there is a voice-over which calls out ‘max bet!’, along with a fun little tune that plays for a couple of seconds – we want more of the tune!
Special Features
There are a few sweet special features in Candy Bingo, but one of our favorite features – which is more or less just how the game was developed – is the simple four winning bingo patterns.
Often bingo games are overloaded with tons of ways to win, but not this game. They keep it simple with:
- Single line
- Double line
- Bonus (numbers on the perimeter)
- Complete card (all numbers)
While this makes the standard gameplay easy to keep up with, there are special features that you can find all about below.
Bingo Jackpot
Playing for the jackpot prize is easy in theory (you will still need luck!), with players only needing to complete their card within the first 34 balls.
Watch out, though, because the jackpot is not activated unless you are playing with three or more credits in each of the four cards at once.
Extra Ball Feature
While the extra ball feature is relatively common among bingo games, what we liked about the Candy Bingo extra ball feature was that the credits for each of the balls start at a price depending on your potential for winning.
With a maximum of ten balls available to purchase, players can buy an extra ball, which might be costly if the rewards are higher. However, if there isn’t much on your cards, you can get away with extra balls from as low as two credits and onwards!
This adds an extra layer of decision making for players.
Bonus Bingo Wheel Feature
Unlocking the bingo bonus wheel feature can be done by matching all numbers along the perimeter. What this feature does is unlocks three free spins on the wheel of candy fortune!
This bonus allows players to win a range of credits, from as low as 100 right up to 5,000 for the biggest prize. Playing is easy – It hit the spin button, sees what the wheel stops on, repeat twice more, and sees what you walk away with.
Our Say on the Candy Bingo Game
Having played our share of Candy Bingo, we can safely say that we have concluded that you need to treat yourself! Enjoy a slice of Candy Bingo! The design of this game is truly next level, and although the music is lacking, the simplistic gameplay and the straightforward betting options make for an enjoyable round of bingo.
Just take care when playing the extra ball, weigh up your options, and don’t just go throwing everything into the pot, or you may short change yourself quickly.
To reduce the blow of this potentially happening, we suggest checking out one of our online casino bonus codes, which you can use to play Candy Bingo for real money today and reduce your bankroll risk!
